Gandhara Institute of Science & Technology (GIST) is a unique and the only higher education institution in Peshawar, which offers a wide range of courses right from Play group, Kindergarten upto Degree level i.e. B.Sc, B.I.T, BCS and B.Sc Engineering. In each of these we aim to provide excellent training in the relevant subjects or discipline. We also aim to ensure that alongwith disciplinary skills students should develop in department understanding of some aspects of a particular field or subject. Here too, we offer first class training which is also being recognized by our external assessors. GIST has grown rapidly over the last ten years. Peshawar Grammar School (PGS) is the seed of Gandhara Institute of Science & Technology GIST, which started with its nursery section and was gradually upgraded up to the Matric, F.Sc. & then Degree level in the field of Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology by the efforts and enthusiasm of the founders and the staff. The Institution has been successfully maintaining a disciplined atmosphere on its campuses and has the unique distinction of holding its academic activities including admissions and examinations, on time. All selections and admissions in the Institution are based strictly on merit. The combination of high quality academic programs with a healthy atmosphere makes it an outstanding environment for study. The Institution is a fully autonomous institution with its own Board of Management with independence and complete policy making and executive powers. At present about 75 teachers/Lecturers and 20 ministerial staff is putting their efforts for the improvement and building up of the career of about 800 students PGS (GIST) by adopting the most modern techniques of education.
