A. RULES FOR ADMISSION
Admission in the College will be open to all male and female candidates who have passed the requisite examination and are eligible for admission under the rule prescribed by UET Peshawar. Besides the UET rules / regulation, the following rules are also to be followed:
- For admission to PGS Engineering College a candidate has to apply on the prescribed form (in duplicate) attached to this prospectus obtainable on payment from the main office during working hours.
- Admission for engineering classes shall be open to candidates who have passed the entry test conducted by the NWFP UET Peshawar or any other Government University of Engineering and Technology in the country or of this college (if applicable).
- Admission to B.Sc. Engineering shall be on the basis of merit and subject to availability of seats in disciplines.
- The admission committee comprising the Executive Principal, Dean and the senior faculty members shall decide the admission in PGS Engineering College.
- Candidate(s) provisionally selected for the admission shall appear before the admission committee for interview along with their PARENTS or (Guardian in case real parents are not alive). Without parent/guardian no student will be considered for admission
- Candidate must submit their forms complete in all respect. Incomplete forms will be rejected.
- The admission dues shall be paid immediately after the interview and selection. Delay in payment may lead to cancellation of admission and the payment once paid will not be refundable.
- The name of the student who is admitted once but is continuously absent from the beginning of the session for a period of one week without intimation of any valid reason, his name shall be struck-off from the college rolls. No dues will be refunded including security at any cost.
- All applications, for admission shall be accompanied by attested photostat copies of the following documents:
a. 4 copies of College Leaving or Provisional Certificates from the College last attended.
b. 4 copies of Detailed Marks Certificate (DMC) of the last examination already passed.
c. 4 copies of Character Certificate from the head of Institute last attended
d. Passport size photographs & small size 1” x 1” Photographs (4-each)
e. 4 copies of Entry Test Certificate passed from any Government Engineering University of Pakistan. (If applicable)
f. One original copy of Income certificate.
g. One Original Affidavit (English & Urdu) attested by the oath Commissioner
NOTE: Original documents must be produced at the time of interview.
10. The following candidates are not eligible for the admission to PGS Engineering College.
a. Those who do not qualify the entry test for engineering admissions.
b. Misconduct on the part of students in any school/college.
c. Those convicted of a criminal offense or found guilty of moral turpitude.
11. The Executive Principal is fully authorized to cancel/refuse admission to the PGS Engineering College without assigning any reason. His decision will be final and cannot be challenged in any court of law in Pakistan.
12. The admission granted by the admission committee shall be provisional and will not mean any commitment or entail any legal liability till it is confirmed by the Executive Principal and the registration by concern University is completed.
13. If admission of a student is cancelled due to any reason or rejected or not accepted by the concern University, admission fee, tuition fee or other dues will not be refunded and the management of GIST will not be held responsible for any loss.
14. Candidates desirous of applying for admission in more than one discipline can apply on separate Admission form (photocopy).
15. Suitable weight age in admission shall be given to applicants who have passed F.Sc from PGS Colleges provided that the candidate fulfills all the requirements of admission.
16. A Photostat copy of bank payment receipt should be supplied to the admission committee for the confirmation of students admission. |
